Stainless Steel slitting for precision strip
We slit stainless steel precision strip to your exact width with controlled burr, edge quality, and coil build—ready for downstream stamping, forming, and laser cutting.
YES Stainless International offers stainless steel slitting for precision strips with thicknesses ranging from 0.3 to 3.0 mm and widths of 12 to 2000 mm. Our slitting lines are designed to achieve stable width, low burr, and consistent camber, ensuring coils run smoothly on automated lines. You can choose a slit edge, a deburred/safety edge, or a rounded edge per application. We handle common grades (e.g., 304/304L, 316/316L, 201, 430) with finishes such as 2B, BA, No.4, and HL, and we protect the surface with film, paper interleave, and moisture control for export. Each order ships with clear coil tags, packing lists, and EN 10204 3.1 MTC traceability on request. Share your thickness, width, edge style, coil ID/OD, and tolerance targets to receive a fast, accurate offer.
Why Choose Our precision slitting

Tight Width Control
Process checks at setup and during run to keep widths on target.

Burr Management
Sharp blade selection and pass strategy tuned for low burr and clean edges

Custom coil dimension
We prepare the final products to your target ID, OD, and coil weight so each coil fits your decoiler, meets lifting limits, and minimizes changeovers.

FAQs
1. What size range can you slit?
We slit stainless steel precision strip from 0.3–3.0 mm thickness and 12–2000 mm width, with coil build set to your core ID, OD, and weight requirements.
2. How tight are your width tolerances?
Width tolerances are set to your purchase order and verified during production. Our process controls are designed for stable width and low variation so coils run cleanly on automated lines.
3. What edge options are available?
You can choose a slit edge, a deburred (safety) edge, or a rounded edge, depending on downstream forming and handling needs.
4. How do you protect surface finish during slitting and shipping?
We apply film wrap or paper interleave, use edge protectors, and moisture barriers to preserve finish integrity in transit.
5. What coil IDs, ODs, and winding directions can you supply?
Common core IDs are 200/300/400/508 mm with OD and winding direction set to your line requirements. We’ll match palletizing and banding to your handling equipment.
6. What are the MOQs for stainless steel precision strip?
MOQs: Shipment minimum is 1 metric ton (1,000 kg) per PO, with a minimum of 500 kg per size (thickness × width). If you need a pilot coil for validation, tell us—trial runs may be available.
7. Do you offer samples or trial coils?
We can prepare trial lengths to validate width tolerance, burr targets, and hardness before full production.
