YES Stainless International provides stainless steel tube surface polishing for ASTM A554, ASTM A270, ASTM A269, and ASTM A249 projects. We finish A554 tubes to 180G, 240G, 320G, 400G, and 600G (mirror) with uniform grain and luster, and we polish sanitary tubes to validated Ra 20 / Ra 25 / Ra 32 (OD and/or ID as specified). For industrial and heat-exchanger applications, we also supply Pickled (AP) and Bright Annealed (BA) surfaces with optional passivation. Each order includes roughness measurement records (when applicable), heat/lot traceability, and export-ready protection. Choose a cosmetic grit finish for ASTM A554 or a verified Ra target for ASTM A270 sanitary applications. FAQs
1. Do you provide Ra measurement reports?
Yes. Ra measurement reports for OD and/or ID will be provided with heat/lot traceability when specified in PI./PO. This is standard documents for ASTM A270 sanitary tube polishing (e.g., Ra 20, Ra 25, Ra 32).
2. Can you polish to a mirror finish?
Yes. For A554 stainless steel tubes, we offer 600G (mirror) polishing for a bright, uniform appearance. An individual protective plastic bag is applied to help preserve the finish.
3. Is sanitary ID polishing available?
Yes. We can polish ID/OD to Ra 20 / Ra 25 / Ra 32 with documented results, and electropolishing can be added on request for stricter sanitary requirements.
4. Do you offer passivation?
Yes. We provide pickling & passivation service and supply a written passivation statement to support hygienic and corrosion-resistant performance.
5. How do you protect the finish during shipping?
We use plastic bags, film wrap, sleeves, or paper interleaves with clear bundle labeling to safeguard polished stainless steel tubes in transit. You can also specify the product packaging preferred, and we can arrange accordingly.
